Great news! Read the EcoSociety news update below...

Wednesday Local Downtown Market

June 16th – September 15th, 9:30am to 3:00pm
400 Block, Baker Street

We have great news to bring to you! After much work from the devoted staff and volunteers here at the EcoSociety we are pleased to announce that the downtown local market will be held on the 400 block of Baker St (between Ward and Stanley) The EcoSociety and the market vendors believe that this will help make this year’s ‘Downtown Local Market’ a great event for locals and tourists alike.

The EcoSociety wishes to thank the Nelson City Council for unanimously approving the location, the Columbia Basin Trust for their support, and the businesses on the 400 block of Baker for signing their approval and welcoming the market to their doorstep.

For more information contact the Downtown Market manager, Kayli Koep, at kayli@ecosociety.ca.

This is quite the feat. John Alton, who coordinates the Nelson markets, has been trying to make this happen for many years. Congratulations to all for making this finally happen!
